Headquartered in Brooklyn, NY, we are a family-owned, Black-owned, collective of HBCU graduates, singularly focused on raising awareness of and eliminating the #RacialRestGap. We define the #RacialRestGap as the historically persistent deficit in rest, specifically in sleep, plaguing in the African-American community, compared to other races and ethnicities. This rest deficit results in significantly increased rates of heart disease, high blood-pressure, obesity and diabetes. We find this work vital to improving and potentially saving the lives of millions of people.

The Black Rest Company is committed to centering rest, in everything we do. We will realize this commitment, by offering premium home goods, produced intentionally with sustainably-sourced, organic, renewable materials.
